Есть 2 машины с ALM 2.4
На каждой есть следующее устройcтво:
# pciscan

i810_audio Intel Corporation|ICH4 845G/GL Chipset AC'97

...
kudzu предлагает для него другой модуль:
class: AUDIO
bus: PCI
detached: 0
driver: snd-intel8x0
desc: "Intel Corporation|ICH4 845G/GL Chipset AC'97 Audio Controller"
vendorId: 8086
deviceId: 24c5
subVendorId: 8086
subDeviceId: 0303
pciType: 1
в /etc/modules.conf видимо он же пишет нечто вроде:
alias sound-slot-0 snd-intel8x0
above snd-pcm-oss snd-mixer-oss
above snd-intel8x0 snd-pcm-oss
На одной из машин (на которую ALM24 ставился не инсталлятором, а
перетягивался с другой машины без AC'97) эти строки в modules.conf не
работали никогда. Я не долго думая удалил их и вписал i810_audio в
/etc/modules - после этого звук завелся.
На другой машине (на которую ALM24 ставился инсталлятором), эти строки
долгое время работали, а затем, не могу впомнить после каких
манипуляций, работать перестали, но вариант, описанный выше, заработал.
Теперь объясните, почему? И в чем разница между этими модулями?
