а вы убедитесь что у вас на alt12 все работает и уж потом удалите
alt6

А потому что это не файл - это просто ссылка на олость памяти (ну
как то так) - вообщем при перезагрузке все что там было
сбрасывается.
вам нужно в
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/sysctl.conf
переменную net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
