Разница принципиальна. :) Вперёд и назад - не однозначные понятия.

Почитал. МАМА!!!! Мне такое не осилить, даже если очень надо будет.
Как достало это шаманство...
А к чему вопрос-то был? Мне импонирует, как ядро распределяет процессы
в системе. Как-то я запустил считывание аудио-диска с немедленным
сжатием, плюс два процесса просто сжатия в МР3. При этом ресурсы
распределились в аккурат поровну, и при работе в других приложениях тормозов не было. Вот
бы софта специального... Если не понятно - речь о Linux. :)
Правда, действительно, в BeOS вообще с этим проблем нет, но так же нет
и софта. Или есть, но оооооочень дорогой, при этом немного
кастрированный.
Тем не менее, вполне возможно создать муз. центр, используя старый
комп под Linux.
