Может попробовать смоделировать ситуацию, нагрузив только диск.
bonnie++ (не знаю есть ли оно в ALM 2.4) позволяет это сделать довольно
легко.
Если несколько, одновременно запущенных тестов, с объемом файла
приблизительно равным профилям завалят тачку - значит нужно винт
менять/ставить скази.
