Не совсем. Это кто как задумает. У меня вообще так:
2 = то же, что и 1, но + syslogd + klogd + несколько консолей
3 = 2 + сервисы, которые мне необходимы, но не требуют сети
4 = 3 + нужные мне сетевые сервисы, но без иксов
5 = 4 + иксы
