Про второй вопрос: всё либо просто, либо сложно. В конфиге есть
строчка про расширения DGA и RandR. Их надо установить в "Y", без
них аппаратного 2D/3D ускорения не будет. Ещё можно поиграть с
режимами отображения окон (Managed, Normal, Desktop) некоторые
игры идут только в одном из них.
Если не поможет, ждём вместе вмешательства высших сил :)
