Установил ALT Master 2.4... там уже стояли какие-то nVidia дрова...
На них много OpenGL игр работают нормально, но Quake3 не запускается
(говорит, что не может найти libGL.so).
Я нашёл какой-то libGL.so, делаю на него симлинк в /usr/lib, Quake
запускается, но с ужасной графикой.
Я так понял мне нужно установить новые nVidia драйвера. Мне интересно
как это сделать нормально... Нужно удалить эти? (как это сделать
правильно?).

Вы все поняли неправильно.:)
Нужно сделать симлинк libGL.so -> libGL.so.nvidia
(или как там он называется).
