Он нужен для взаимодействия между программами KDE. Еще один
способ межпроцессного взаимодействия. А с файлом .ICEauthority
разобраться очень просто - достаточно изменить его владельца
(hint: ls -l ~/.ICEauthority). У меня такие неприятности
начинались после вызова KDE-программ из-под su. То есть из-под su
они прекрасно запускались, а вот из-под обычного пользователя
потом возникали такие проблемы.
