Трям, зравствуйте.
Есть ALM2.4, samba-3.0.5-alt2
каждой ночью при ротации логов умирает nmbd, оставляя за собой nmbd.pid.
Ессно автоматом не запускается после, пока файл ручками не удалишь.
Где б посмотреть, что не так?

Увеличьте уровень информативности журналирования и перезапустите демона.
Затем смотрите в логах.
