В стандарте не интерфейс Centronix (классический. ныне народное название
Bitronix) макс длина 10 футов
Кабеля действительно продаются разные и разные принтеры себя по-разному
на них ведут
~10 назад у меня матричный Robotron работал на самопальном кабеле ~25м
(принтер стоял в кухне чтоб не будить домашних),
но лазерник будет работать далеко не на каждом 5м. Причем если принтер
не станет печатать вообще -- полбеды, а вот если он начнет устраивать
цирк с потерей форматирования страницы, плеваться бумагой etc....
