Согласен на все 100. Сравните хотя-бы Star Calc и Gnumeric по скорости
работы. Ведь могут-же делать, если захотят. А Excel и Gnumeric по
скорости примерно одинаковы.

Именно. Линукс-то быстр не из-за своих внутренностей, а потому, что от
него можно отрезать всё лишнее.
