Здравствуйте!
Модем USR Courier v34, выделенная линия, у провайдера стоит Cisco.
Дозванивается, но не соединяется. В логах:
Using interface ppp0
Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS1
LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Connection terminated.
Receive serial link is not 8-bit clean:
Problem: all had bit 7 set to 0
Что это может быть???

Есть предположение, что надо где-то выставить параметры порта 8N1 или
наоборот 7N1.

У меня такое было (там тоже, кажестся что-то из Cisco) из-за того, что
запускался не ППП, а терминальный сеанс.
Лечил укорочением файла chat-ppp0 до минимума:
'ABORT' 'BUSY'
'ABORT' 'ERROR'

'ABORT' 'NO DIALTONE'
'ABORT' 'Invalid Login'
'ABORT' 'Login incorrect'
'' 'ATZ'

Последним символом в нем стоит апостроф
