У меня тоже Toshiba L40-139. WiFi card - Atheros AG5007E.
Правда # modprobe ndiswrapper делаю каждый раз ручками.
Перед тем, как сделать это, выключаю WiFi выключателем на переднем
ребре ноутбука, жду маленько (секунды 3-5), потом - включаю. Лампочка
после этого - загорается. А уж потом - # modprobe ndiswrapper.
После этого ручками команда входа в сеть, потом ручками же # dhcpcd wlan0
По другому - не работает.
Так - работает, но примерно раз на 5-7 включений карта вдруг, во время
работы, пропадает совсем (как устройство видиться перестаёт) помогает
только полное отключение ноутбука с выниманием батареи из отсека
секунд на 30.
Железо - 100% рабочее, дуалбутом стоит предустановленный оффтопик
виста, нареканий нет. Аптайм в пару недель - спокойно.
