Подскажите, пожалуйста, как научить ноутбук делать suspend to RAM под
WindowMaker?
Под KDE всё работает - правоклик на иконку kpowersave и выбрать
Suspend to RAM из меню.
Под WindowMaker kpowersave не запускается - тут же падает.
Может как-то из консоли посылать спать?

Есть wmpowersave, но он мне не нравится. Можно кнопки настроить
в самом powersaved, можно почитать man powersave.

Спасибо, почитал. Однако, это привело лишь к следующему этапу вопросов :)
Теперь у меня получается посылать ноутбук в suspend to RAM, и с помощь
консольной команды и с помощью клика по соответствующей зоне апплета
wmpowersave. Однако:
01. Апплет почему-то не мониторит сколько заряда осталось в батарейке
(стоящий рядом wmpower - мониторит)
02. Система не "лочится", то есть, после "просыпания" можно сразу
работать, не вводя пароль пользователя. Если я делаю hibernate кнопкой
ноутбука - то при "просыпании" скрин "залочен" установленным мной для
этого xscreensaver. Как бы сделать автоматическое "залочивание" и для
suspend to RAM?

Сейчас только ещё заметил: wmpowersave не показывает динамическое
изменение частоты процессора :( Только в том случае, если самому
кликнуть скажем на смену мода работы: powersave, performance и т.д :(

А похоже никак. Это оторвано в самом powersaved.
/etc/powersave/events:
EVENT_BUTTON_LID_CLOSED="screen_saver"
/usr/lib/powersave/do_screen_saver:
...

В hibernate, видимо, xss активируется сам при просыпании по таймауту.

Жаль, апплетик выглядит симпатично: частота, вилочка, батареечка и
кнопки "в сон". То, что в принципе надо для счастья... :(

Тоже жаль. Крайне полезная вещь.

Вроде нет. Я "гибернировал" и тут же "разгибернировал". Скрин был залочен xss.
