А какой смысл их менять?
Механизм обновления остается неизменным...
apt-get install glibc rpm apt
apt-get install apt-conf-sisyphus
apt-get dist-upgrade
Вот и все... ну еще можно добавить обновление специфичных пакетов типа
XFree86-xfs shadow-utils и т. д.
Вобщем по инструкции АЛМ 2.2-->Sisyphus, я успешно проапгрейдил
Компакт2.3-->Sisyphus.
