Так, просто мысли вслух...
Как известно, средства управления шрифтами в Linux позволяют хранить их
в разных каталогах. В то же время, при выборе шрифтов в приложениях они
представляются в виде одной кучи, независимо, используются ли Х-овые
средства доступа ко шрифтам или же fontconfig. Например, у меня есть 1)
системные шрифты, 2) универсальные и 3) декоративные. Понятно, что 1 и 2
нужны шораздо чаще, чем 3, но количество декоративных значительно больше
1 + 2, поэтому выкопать нужный шрифт оказывается непростой задачей.
Поэтому у меня возник интерес, нет ли средств выбора шрифта,
поддерживающих древовидную структуру их представления с каталогами и
подкаталогами? Скажем, тогда я могу закинуть все декоративные шрифты
куда-нибудь в artistic и они не будут мне больше мешать. Может
кто-нибудь знает о существующих наработках в этой области?
