Subject: [Comm] Сетевуха вешает Compact

Ситуация:
имеется плата ASUS P4C800 Deluxe со встроенной гигабайтной сетевухой
(3Com 3C940 Gigabit PCI) - используетя для "домашней" сети - связи со
старым системным блоком;
и наличествует также предоставленная провайдером выделенки плата
(забыл сейчас название).
Во избежание неприятностей имеется также пара скриптов для,
соответственно, выключения и включения сетевой платы для выделенки. На
старом системном блоке все вполне работало.
Теперь же регулярно (но не каждый раз!), при запуске "включающего"
выделенку скрипта комп (установлен Compact 2.3) намертво (приходится
жать Reset, не иначе) виснет. Виснет во время исполнения команды:
service network restart
успев вывести строку
Shutting down interface eth0
НО - не выведя правую часть сей строки (той, что в квадратных скобках).
eth0 - как раз та плата, что на материнке, встроенная, то бишь., не
провайдерская.
Ни у кого не найдется соображений на темы: "Что виновато?" и "Как
сделать?"?
Единственное, что мне удалось заметить странного - в dmesg довольно
подробные, развернутые (с MAC, IRQ и проч.) сообщения насчет
дополнительной сетевухи, типа:
8139too Fast Ethernet driver 0.9.26
divert: allocating divert_blk for eth1
eth1: RealTek RTL8139 Fast Ethernet at 0xf92f2c00, 00:40:f4:54:11:a2, IRQ 23
eth1: Identified 8139 chip type 'RTL-8139C'
и куда более сдержанные - насчет встроенной:
divert: allocating divert_blk for eth0
eth0: 3Com Gigabit LOM (3C940)
Но что из этого может следовать?
Во всяком случае "домашняя" сеть худо-бедно (там иногда возникают
проблемы с задержкой включения) работает.
ifconfig покказывает вполне сходно ту и другую.
