Потому что сизиф -- не дистрибутив. Точка. На сервер нужен дистрибутив. Что
такое дистрибутив, это когда умные бородатые дядьки готовят тебе готовое решение
не редко там сям сертифицированное, оповещают об уязвимостях и подготавливают
обновления а ты сидишь, набираешь по мере прихода новых обновлений rsync на
одном сервере и apt-get dist-upgrade на всех остальных и получаешь за эту
несложную операцию денежки.
Бывает что кому-то не нужен дистрибутив, т.к. ему нужно настолько экзотическое
решение что проще поддерживать его с нуля самостоятельно чем дотачивать уже
готовое, в этом случае человек сознательно взваливает на себе нелегкую ношу
дистриб мейнтейнера, но такой человек как правило не спрашивает ждать ли ему
нового дистрибутива.
Кстати на первичный вопрос могу ответить однозначно НЕ ЖДАТЬ.
