Привет!
Чегото kio_smb не совсем корректно работает в сабже!
При вызове как "smb:/" или входе в ресурс через группу
"smb:/GRP/HOST/RES" тихо падает!
Может поэтому в установщике принтера, пункт SMB принтера неактивен.

Как оказалось, это samba3 из sisyphus некорректно работает!
После downgrade на AltLinux Compact 2.3 в Konqueror заработало и в
установщике принтера, пункт SMB принтера стал активен.
