Попытка #2.
Взял partimage, восстановил корень. Branch4.
Сначала сделал update-kernel.
Перезагрузился. Иксы работают. Но пропал звук.
Обновил alsa, запустил alsaconf. Говорит - вот твоя карточка "maestro3",
все настроено, всё OK.
А звука так и нету. KMix говорит - "нету микшера".
Ну сказал я dist-upgrade. Результат тот же, что и в первой попытке. Иксы
не грузятся с теми же симптомами. :-(
Взял partimage, восстановил корень.
Жду вспышек памяти или сведений со стороны.
