Попробуйте sgml утилиты (они могут работать с XML) и поищите в
архиве community@. Сразу скажу - результат отвратительный, проще
делать вывод в html, а потом конвертировать его в doc с помощью
openoffice или ворда.
И можно поискать в архивах рассылок по ссылкам с
http://docbook.org
