после того, как обновил дистр до очередного сизифа 17.03.2004, пропало
все меню и команда update-menus -n не помогла. Что можно сделать?

Команду делали сначала от рута, потом от юзера?
ЗЫ. Вроде в Сизифе давно menu якобы нормальное?
