Учитывая ваши вопросы спрошу
А параметр "disable" в конфигурации uw-imap&&popa3d вы переключили в "no"?
#service xinetd restart
(смотреть лог на предмет количества поднятых сервисов)
на всякий случай с любой другой машины

telnet www.xxx.yyy.zzz 25
