Здравствуйте, community.
Снес xpdf через rpm -e xpdf, а теперь не печатаются пдфы
на локальном принтере через cups.
Я не уверен, что эти два события связаны напрямую, т. к.
я сначала снес xpdf а потом-таки установил драйвер принтера :)
Драйвер принтера -- Generic - PCL6.
Нужен ли xpdf или какая-то его часть для печати пдфов?

Помотри в фильтрах чем pdf преобразуется в ps, ибо может понадобится:
eugene@master ~ $ rpm -qf /usr/bin/pdf2ps
gnu-ghostscript-common-7.07-alt0.1
eugene@master ~ $ rpm -qf /usr/bin/pdftops
xpdf-2.02pl1-alt1
