Я бы посоветовал поставить на эту машину grub с сетевой загрузкой, а на более мощную установить ltsp.ru. Работать будет намного эффуктивнее чем любой дистрибутив на этой машине. Я устанавливал такой вариант на
486dx4/100 с 8 Мб ОЗУ, без винта...
