Скачав python2.3-2.3.2-1pydotorg.src.rpm запустил rpm -rebuild
python2.3-2.3.2-1pydotorg.src.rpm и через полчасика пронаблюдал облом
такого вида:

Как-то странноо - сам-то пакет ИМХО оттранслировался, но вот
специфические его, внутренние (yied, score), тесты не прошли.
При том, в Виндах сия версия работает :-(.
У меня стоит Python 2.2.2 под Master 2.2.
Может здесь какая-то интерференция между установленной и
свежеотранслированной версией?
(Т.е. тестирование плохо организовано)?
Никто не не смог воспользоваться новым Питоном под Мастером?
