Не желая раздувать флейм, я все же отвечу на вопросы, которые мне
кажутся важными.

Debian, SuSE, RH etc. берут наши патчи сами, потому если его нет в
Gentoo -- это плюха мейнтейнера Gentoo. Вещь обычная, у всех бывает, но
вот замечание Ваше мне представляется некорректным.

Затем, что тестирование пока показывает худшую скорость и стабильность
ядра, собранного gcc3. Увы.
И если уж Вы не разбираетесь в этом, то лучше не разбрасывать камешки.
Я не принимаю более участие в этой дискуссии, но прошу всех ее
участников говорить только о том, что они действительно знают и понимают.
Gentoo имеет многочисленных поклоннников и, несомненно, заслуженно, но
со своей колокольни, -- разработчика, -- я не замечаю сейчас его
заметного вклада в разработку free software, а потому у нас он (пока,
надеюсь) не зеркалируется.
