Диск IDE? И каков объём памяти...
У меня подобная петрушка. :-( Грешу на IDE`шный винчестер и
недостаток памяти: операции на данной шине плохо
распоралеливаются (если сравнивать с SCSI :-)). А при малом
объёме ОЗУ - ситуация когда требуется сбросить его содержимое на
диск (дисковый кеш при записи, например) в экстренном порядке -
могут возникать достаточно часто. А сброс информации на IDE -
операция длительная по определению, если это не запись 1-го
непрерывного блока. (Это было ИМХО.)
