Разобрался: проблема ликвидируется заданием параметра
"*append*/_/*dot*/_/*mydomain = no".
По видимому poctfix интерпретировал имя домена** (у меня локальный
домен 1 уровня - благо он из вне невиден :-))** как имя хоста.
Подскажите пожалуйста: можно ли решить данную задачу болие правильно?
