Это точно - трудно отказываться от многолетних привычек. К
iproute2 приходят только те
кому нужны более-менне не тривиальные штуки, т.е. явное
менишинство. Так что
либо садиться и самостоятельно, для себя переписывать
initscripts&Co или ждать
вдруг найдется решительный производитель дистрибутива,
решиться выкинуть
route, ifconfig итд.

Да граблей навалом, многие просто от малого опыта
использования ip, я тут день убил,
чтоб понять почему очередной ipsec туннель freeswan-овский
не поднимается, 5 туннелей
работают, а новый 6-ой - ни в какую :( Оказалось что
согласно дополнительной таблицы,
пакеты заворачивались на eth0 вместо ipsec0, как я считал
согласно выводу route.
