Hi all!
Тут возникла проблема следующего рода:
Пробуем дозвониться wvdial'ом (к ISP) - пароль не признает провайдер.
Берем minicom и звонимся туда же, имя и пароль руками забиваем.
На каждую попытку залогиниться получаем ответ:
%Backup authentication
и новое приглашение на "опознание"
(если пользовать kppp, то звонится самым лучшим образом)
Может кто подскажет, где ковырять, чего почитать...
и чем в данном случае kppp лучше других?

Он у вас настроен на PAP-аутентификацию, а остальные способы -
нет.
