Если у вас модем на чипе Lucent/Agere (типа Genius 56K PCI)
вы можете установить двоичный пакет с драйвером
для него. Пакеты можно взять по адресам:
Для Мастера 2.2 /Юниора 2.2 : (kernel 2.4.20-alt6)

Просто установите пакет с помощью
# rpm -ivh файл_пакета.rpm
и ваш модем появится на /dev/modem
Замечания и заявки на сборки для других ядер/дистрибутивов
принимаются.
Замечу, что использующим Junior теперь не потребуются средства
разработки, чтобы заставить свой модем работать.
