С mplayer та же беда на xv теже артефакты ,а при xshm все нормально (но тормозит жудко(не так конечно как на Xine,mplayer сам по себе немного шустрее)),просто у вас процессор мощьнее моего ,поэтому получилось при xshm смотреть в mplayer ,а для меня единственная возможность смотреть видео -это добиться нормального воспроизведения через XV драйвер ,а смотреть уже не важно в чем Xine или в mplayer
