О чем и речь. Все dm, кроме xdm достаточно умны, чтобы пустить
линуксового клиента без лишней волокиты (либо кигвиновкий клиент умеет
чем-то подмазать XDM :) ). А у меня был один XDM, который пускал только
кигвиновских клиентов, но я поначалу списывал проблему на то, что на том
сервере стоял SINIX с какой-то очень хитрой реализацией XDM. Теперь вот
смотрю, что на ALM2.2 та же беда.

Вопросы:
1) где это написать?
2) как выполнить xhost, чтобы он не говорил: unable to open display ""?
