Просто для сведения.
Возможно уже раз писАл - попытка нашать клавишу "Restart X server"
приводит к полной гибели, безо всякого "Restart".
Запуск вручную (ориентируясь на написанной в /etc/inittab)
/etc/X11/prefdm дает только крики о том, что /etc/sysconfig/autologin не
должен быть доступен для записи группой (а оный - доступен). Впрочем,
убирание этого атрибута не приводит к запуску X-ов.
Приходится делать reboot.
Стоит Весна-2001, XFree86-4.0.3-ipl2mdk, обновления практически только
из Update.
Функция "Restart X server", хоть и редко, но бывает нужна.
Особенно когда запускаются (из виртульной консоли, без графики)
расчетные задачи на несколько (от 2-х до 10 дней) работы. При
параллельной интерактивной работе, естественно.
Раньше, этот Restart работал нормально.
