Установка в /usr/local -- пользовательская установка, для разработчика
дистрибутива неприемлема.
Но главное: postgresql собран у нас для работы в chrooted environment, как и многие
другие серверы (читайте об этом на нашем сайте, в статье Дмитрия Левина). Это --
одна из главных features ALT Linux.
Ставить бинарный пакет postresql мы не пробовали, но, в принципе, противопоказаний
не видно. Возможно, придется подправиь некоторые скрипты.
