Посмотрел , выставил в "yes" - не помогло.
Я пользуюсь фронтендом к wvdial , так wvdial при запуске не из под root'a говорит ,
что "/dev/modem: Device or resource busy" Да и я ещё подозреваю ,что с правами на pppd
возникнут непонятки .
Наблюдал за вашей перепиской, так как тоже из под root не очень удобно
коннектится в инет. Поменял в /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0
USERCTL="no" на "yes" все заработало.
Кстати возник такой вопрос - как можно сделать несколько ppp что бы можно было разными провайдерами пользовться не изменяя постоянно параметры в ppp0?
