В общем вопрос к разработчикам.
Сабж планируется? Или хотя бы 8.0
Не очень хочется апдейты делать. Хочется сразу скакнуть вперед. Все равно что
при апдейте, что при переустановке проблем не оберешься.
Хотя насколько я понимаю, последние версии это в основном шаг к удобству
пользования. А серверная часть особо не изменилась.

Это, кажется вопрос к разработчикам Linux-Mandrake...
Мы больше не будем выпускать Linux-Mandrake RE. Будет ALT Linux {Master, Junior,
Castle}
Что касается актуальности пакетов, то она будет не ниже, чем в MDK-8.1

Неверно понимаете. По крайней мере у нас она меняется сильно.
