Лично я прибавку скорости 2D у себя не заметил. Но это частный
случай и ИМХО.
Что касается функциональности, то X 4.х.х конечно же
предпочтительнее, и если Вам 3D пофигу - можете смело переходить
:-))
Собственно, 3D никуда не денется, просто оно будет идти в чисто
софтверном режиме, то есть ооооччччень тормозно :-)
