Это какая же гуевая прога такая умная? Или имеется в виду рецепт
этажем ниже?

Ээээ нет, уважаемый! Это уже не ГУЙ, а шелл, запущенный из под
ГУЯ, безусловно грамотно запущенный, но все же шелл.

Беда в том, что на все жизненные потребности алиасов и гор-клавиш
незаготовить заранее. Ну повесили Вы эту строчку на
кнопку(клавиши), ну и что дальше? Эта команда нужна только один
раз. А вот Вам потребовалось прошерстить тем же методом не samba
а gnome например - полезете в настройки, начнете эту строчку
править... или например вывод не в файл а на консоль нужен -
опять править... и так каждый раз. Ну и где же удобство и выигрыш
в скорости по сравнению с шеллом?
Так что весь Ваш ГУЙ - тот же шелл, только с брамлением окна :-)
