Если предельно упрощенно - демон для синхронизации юниксовых и
NT-доменных юзеров. Имеет смысл использовать только в том случае,
если в Вашей сети есть NT домен с PDC и прочими прибамбасами, и
Вы хотите сделать Вашу Самбу полноценным членом домена.
Подробнее - смотрите доки к Самбе иначе мне придется целый день
их переводить и набивать перевод в письмо :-)
