Стоит Spring2001 с последними апдейтами (не из Сизифа!).
1. Ставлю перловский модуль XML::Writer (XML-Writer-0.4.tar.gz со CPAN)
- make test падает в кору на тесте номер 39. Этот же модуль прекрасно
проходит все тесты на Mandrake RE 7.0+Appendix (perl 5.005) и на SGI
IRIX (perl 5.004 и 5.6.1). Что бы это могло быть???
2. При сборке модулей содержащих сишные расширения, во время компиляции
- море warning'ов от компилятора с жалобой на неиспользуемую переменную
с именем... Perl__notused 8-). Это так и задумано? Модули вроде
собираются успешно, тесты проходят, так что спрашиваю скорее из
любопытства.
3. Вопрос более общего свойства: perl 5.6.1 в updates к Spring2001
попадет когда-нибудь? Все-таки 5.6.0 - жуткое глюкало, я бы рассматривал
переход на 5.6.1 как весьма актуальный по соображениям безопасности в
том числе. В Сизифе вижу 5.6.1 уже лежит, но как-то я опасаюсь
обновляться из него. Или можно? Какой будет вердикт разработчиков?
