Hi, Lorry!
Сейчас у меня стоит wine-20010510 (последний). Плюс - отсутствует
xfs. Плюс - присутствует xfstt. Будет ли все это (см. ниже) работать
с wine из Spring - не знаю. Но попытка не пытка...
Берем из Виндов все *.fon и конвертируем их с помощью fnt2bdf.
Потом все, что получилось, конвертируем с помощью bdf2pcf.
Создаем каталог, например, /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/winfon и
сваливаем туда свежеполученные фонты. Делаем в этом каталоге
mkfontdir и прописываем его в конфиге X или в конфиге xfs
(смотря по обстоятельствам). Перезапускаем X. Смотрим в xfontsel
и видим фонты семейства -windows-.
Для полноты картины можно подключить ttf-шрифты.
Затем открываем конфиг wine и правим раздел [fonts] таким образом:

После этого все рускоязычные меню становятся вполне читаемыми (а это
одна из первых проблем, с которыми сталкиваешься в wine).
Здесь также писалось "дружбе и не дружбе" wine и xfs. Посмотри в
архиве рассылки.
