Уважаемые господа разработчики!
Я уже задавал этот вопрос. Он остался без внимания,
но всё-таки я хочу добиться ясности.
Почему в Spring 2001 стартовые скрипты Х сделаны таким образом,
что при запуске Х без выбора оконного менеджера, скажем для root,
читаются гдобальные
/etc/X11/Xresources
и выполняются
/etc/X11/xinit.d/*,
а при запуске с выбором оконного менеджера через
wmselect данные действия не производятся.
Собственно "почему" ясно - в первом случае выполняется
/etc/X11/Xsession, а во втором нет.
Это что bug или так и задумывалось?
Иметь глобальные настройки Х очень удобно.
