Обнаружил тут такую проблему:
samba работает, конфиг правильный
делаю:
root# /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb stop
root# /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb start
root# smbclient -L <мой_хост>
tree connect failed: ERRSRV - ERRinvnetname
и мою samb'y никто не видит
Установка loglevel=10 и анализ log.smb показал, что самба после рестарта
при формировании списка ресурсов пытается писать в каталог /root/tmp, и
естественно - permission denied.
Виновник проблемы TMPDIR=/root/tmp в environ root'a.
Хотелось бы знать насколько нужна эта переменная TMPDIR ?
