По ftp оно точно_ставится, сам проверял и не раз...
Кстати, на счет ftp, проверь пермишены всех файлов дистрибутива на
предмет читаемости анонимусом! Я на эти грабли наступал уже, поскольку
качал то wget'ом то rsync'ом, пермишены были разные и некоторые 0600,
соответственно все стопорилось :-)
