Переменная окружения RSYNC_PROXY=z.x.c.v:3128 , а вот как задать пароль
- не понял, можно попробовать RSYNC_PROXY=user@passwd:z.x.c.v:3128

Запарно, по-моему, он некорректно обновляет (размер локал. файла меньше
размера удаленного - докачиваем, можно докачку отрубить, а как быть с
файлами, которые уже вообще не нужны?)

ЗЫ Можно сделать замороженный каталог для закачки, а обновлять другой?
