Нет, не из-за этого. Клавиатуру wine выбирает верно, просто все они
очень разные и в него включена некоторая усредненная. Я не знаю пока,
как там фиксируется регистр и фиксируется ли он вообще (если кто-то
знает -- буду признателен), приходится удерживать RghtAlt. Правда, я с
Wine и не работаю. Только после очередной сборки.

Не надо. Заведите один из Win-дисков в $HOME и пишите туда.
