Такое может быть, если целевая флэшка автоматически примонтировалась. Не
поленился воспроизвести на стенде - да, так и есть. Тогда зайти в
консоль, стать суперпользователем через su -, командой df определить имя
автопримонтировавшегося раздела(ов) и - umount его(их).
Тогда, если заново запустить livecd-install (это который Установить на
жёсткий диск), то на шаге 4, если выбрать Подготовить разделы вручную,
искомая флэшка появится. Вот её не было - и вот она есть.
Проверьте, пожалуйста.
