Да. Хост-система с минимальной функциональностью. Удалить всё, что
только можно. Добавить функцию резервного копирования контейнеров по
расписанию. Отгонять резервные копии на другой хост (и лучше вытягивать,
чем выталкивать).
Преимущества:
- Более простая, однородная и оттого надёжная схема резервного
копирования и архивирования.
- Возможность манёвра ресурсами. В случае недостатка ресурсов
переместить контейнер или несколько контейнеров на другой, новый или
менее загруженный хост. Аналогично, при избытке - вернуть обратно.
- Упрощение обновления ПО хоста, даже и с полной переустановкой.
Контейнеры попросту останавливаются, затем запускаются на обновлённом
хосте. Никакого риска для производственной функциональности.
- Понижение функциональности хоста снижает вероятность проблем с хостом.
Только из того, что помнится навскидку. Утверждаю не голословно, но как
итог многолетнего положительного практического опыта. Если что, готов
продемонстрировать.
